Responsibilities: The advert points to help staff set up and run activity sessions for the people we support at our dementia day centre in Ashton-under-Lyne, plan a programme of activities in line with their interests, working with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and dementia friendly, Most importantly, the post holder will take part in the sessions and engage in conversation with the people we support, and engage people we support, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Employment details: Volunteer duties: – Consult people support to plan engaging activities in line with their interests – Prepare for activities including set-up, moving tables and chairs if necessary – Lead and take part in activity sessions, engaging with people support – Tidy up after activities, returning the room to normal – Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members – Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries – Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided Hours: Any day, between 10am-2pm Application Instructions: can also download a copy of application form using the links above.
